Hi, I’m Tash. (And this is Pig.)

I never really had a career plan.

I just knew two things. I wanted to help people. And I needed to make a living.

I dropped out of uni because of my mental health. I’d wanted to become a therapist, but after dropping out I couldn’t see a way to make it happen without a path I simply couldn’t afford. So I let it go.

(Although, in hindsight, younger me as a therapist would have been absolute chaos.)

Instead, I moved to London, handed out my CV, and somehow found myself in recruitment.

Alongside my job, I kept gravitating towards the same kinds of things. I volunteered. I led CSR initiatives. I became a mental health advocate at work.

Over time, that led me into workplace wellbeing, HR tech and ultimately the future of work.

I started becoming fascinated by work itself. The impact it has on our lives. The way a great manager can change someone’s confidence, and a bad one can quietly chip away at it. The things we’ve accepted as "just how work is" that really don’t have to be.

I believe work can be ambitious and human. That looking after your people isn’t a perk, it’s a business strategy. That burnout is expensive, psychological safety matters, and people do their best work when they feel safe, supported and trusted.

That’s why I started Kinward.

Today, I help organisations that are genuinely trying to build a better future of work grow through community, partnerships, content and events. Alongside that, I coach people who are navigating change, questioning what’s next, or simply looking for the space to hear themselves think again.

At the heart of everything I do is one hope: that people feel a little less alone.

Sometimes that means using my voice to talk about the things we don’t always say out loud. Sometimes it means helping organisations doing genuinely good work reach more people. And sometimes it means creating a space where someone can slow down, untangle what’s on their mind, and feel seen through coaching.

They might look like different things on the surface, but to me they’re all part of the same mission.
